Fanart art is my way of paying tribute to a deserving series. The result My own rendition of Youshi or Youko from The Twelve Kingdoms.
It started out as a simple line drawing after which I decided that it was a perfect candidate for photoshop modefication. I worked very hard to portray Youko's character. I wanted for her to appear both masculine and femminen as she often does in the series. I hope I was successful in doing so.
Very nicely done. I like the pose and the expression on Youko's face. It would be cool if you added a background to it. Look forward to more 12k fanarts.
I think you captured the m/f sides of her very well. I really like this picture!

I like the expression on her face - she looks very fierce and determined. She seems very tense, too, as if she senses an enemy behind her. Her bright red hair stands out very well, too.
I think you've done a good job portraying both her masculine and feminine sides. Youko is such a complex character who truly grows throughout the series, and I feel that your picture of her does her great justice.

Ulrich: So you've dated every girl in the 8th grade?
Odd: Everyone except Heïdi Klinger.
Jeremie: Are you trying to set a record or something?
Odd: No way. I'm just searching for… true love.
I really like your renddition of Yoko Nakajima, and yes Twelve Kingdoms really is a deserving series of good fanart. It's just a shame that there isn't very much of it out there.
